Taryono has extensive experience in community planning and project management. He is a recognized expert in the fields of community-based planning, microfinance strategy formulation, strategic planning, training and organizational development, and entrepreneurship development. Taryono also serves on the Board of Directors of the Puter Foundation, an Indonesia-based not-for-profit with a core mission to develop innovative projects and to build the capacity of community organizers working on resource management issues.
Previous Experience
Taryono's experience spans over ten years and includes consulting and working with government, non-government, and private companies in Indonesia. Taryono has a MSc in Chemical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and a BSc from Ahmad Yani University.

Key projects
Taryono is currently engaged in the Katingan Peat Conservation Project in Central Kalimantan, a collaborative project including PT Rimba Makmur Utama, Starling Resources, Puter Foundation, Terra Global Capital and Clinton Climate Initiative. The aim of the project is to implement best practices in ecosystem restoration based on rigorous science-based analysis in compliance with CCBA and VCS requirements. Taryono’s role is to manage the field activities such as performing biomass surveys, conducting forest inventories, engaging communities in project activities, and the process related to securing Free, Prior Informed Consent from the local community.
